Dreamcatchers The
Dreamcatcher is a hoop with a string knotted out into a certain pattern
around it, ending in the middle of the hoop with an opening and a feather
attached to it. According to the Anishinabek, Cree, Iroquoi, Lakota and
other Native legends the Dreamcatcher catches dreams in it. Then the bad
dreams stay caught in the Dreamcatcher’s net and burn with the morning light
while the good dream make their way through the pattern of the
Dreamcatcher’s net to the opening in the middle and slip down into the
attached feather or feathers waiting to be dreamt.
